Lendio vs Fundera vs Trulli: How Three Lending Marketplaces Compare

Lendio vs Fundera (by NerdWallet) vs Trulli compared from each company's own pages: lender networks, products, credit pulls, how each is paid, embedding.

In short

Lendio publishes the most about itself of the three: 100+ lenders, $17 billion+ funded since 2011, and a clear compensation disclosure. Fundera is NerdWallet's small business loan matching service with a short lender list. Trulli, which owns Loanistry, says it evaluates 500+ lender programs and is built for white-label use.

Disclosure: Loanistry is owned by Trulli. We rate Trulli on the same criteria as the others below.

Lendio, Fundera and Trulli all sit between a business that needs money and the lenders that provide it. None of them lends its own money. They differ in size, in who they are built for, and in how much they tell you about themselves.

Because Loanistry is owned by one of the three, we limited this comparison to what each company says on its own public pages and filings, checked in November 2026, plus one clearly labeled third-party source where Fundera's own site did not render readable content. Where a company does not publish something, we say so instead of filling the gap.

The short version

Lendio publishes the most about itself, Fundera is a narrower matching service inside NerdWallet, and Trulli positions itself mainly as white-label infrastructure for other businesses. If you are a business owner, the marketplace matters less than the offers it produces, so compare offers on APR and total cost. If you are a broker, agency or software company choosing a partner, the differences in embedding, disclosure and track record matter more.

The rest of this article explains each row.

Lendio

Lendio is a long-running marketplace that publishes its scale, its products and its compensation model on its own site.

Lendio says it works with "more than 100 lenders and funders" and has helped more than 520,000 small businesses obtain over $17 billion in funding since 2011. A footnote says those totals include Paycheck Protection Program loans (Lendio). Its "how it works" page refers to "our network of 75+ lenders" (Lendio: How it works), and its embedded financing page also cites 75+ lenders and $16 billion of funding over the last decade (Lendio: Embedded financing). We report each figure as its page shows it.

Products. The home page lists accounts receivable financing, equipment financing, SBA loans, small business loans and lines of credit, and its FAQ adds revenue-based financing. Listed request sizes range from a few thousand dollars to over $1 million.

Speed and credit. Lendio says businesses can be funded "in as little as 24 hours," with a footnote that timing depends on the product and may be longer. It says applying "will not impact your personal credit score," and that "accepting a funding offer may result in a hard credit inquiry."

Human support. Its process page says a "dedicated funding expert" will ask about your needs and walk through options.

Disclosure. Lendio states that "compensation may be received from lenders for referrals or funded loans," that this "may impact the placement of financing offers," and that "not all financing options available in the market are listed on this platform." That is a clear, plain-language disclosure.

Embedded financing. Lendio offers software platforms an embedded application "skinned with your brand's look and feel," a configurable marketplace where the partner picks which lenders and products appear, and an implementation it estimates at "4-6 weeks" in its FAQ. It does not publish revenue share terms.

Fundera (by NerdWallet)

Fundera is now NerdWallet's small business financing marketplace, and its own site gives little readable detail beyond a description.

As of November 2026, fundera.com redirects to nerdwallet.fundera.com, which describes itself as "Fundera: Compare Your Best Small Business Loan and Credit Card Options" and says checking is "easy, free, and won't affect your credit." The page content loads in a way we could not read beyond that description.

NerdWallet's 2025 annual report lists Fundera as its small business financing marketplace, which helps businesses with lender matching, product comparisons, intake support and introductions to financing partners. The same filing says NerdWallet's marketplaces earn revenue primarily through referral fees and partner marketing arrangements (NerdWallet Form 10-K for 2025). NerdWallet reported $100.0 million of revenue from small and mid-sized business users in 2025, down from $109.8 million in 2024 (NerdWallet: 2025 results).

Lender network. Because Fundera's own pages did not render, we rely here on a third-party source: Finder's review, last updated October 28, 2026, says Fundera "only lists seven current business lending partners," naming OnDeck, Bluevine and Fundbox. Finder reports that Fundera has helped more than 77,000 businesses access over $5.4 billion, and that loan amounts run from $5,000 to $5,000,000 depending on the lender (Finder: Fundera by NerdWallet review). We could not confirm those figures on a Fundera or NerdWallet page.

Ratings independence. NerdWallet publishes its small business loan rating methodology, weighting cost at 33%, transparency at 19%, underwriting and flexibility at 15%, and credit reporting, application experience and customer service at 11% each. It says "NerdWallet's business relationships have no impact on our star ratings" (NerdWallet: small-business loan ratings methodology).

Embedded financing. We did not find an embedded or white-label program for other companies described on the Fundera or NerdWallet pages we checked.

Trulli

Trulli describes itself as infrastructure that lets other businesses run a branded lending service, with a direct application site for business owners as well.

Trulli's home page describes the company as an "AI capital infrastructure layer that embeds a full lending department into any business," running "under your brand, on autopilot," and says it is "white-labeled" with access to "500+ lenders" (Trulli). Most of that page loads in a way we could not read beyond its description, so we checked Trulli's application site for detail.

Network and products. The application site says "500+ lender programs evaluated," drawn from banks, credit unions, fintechs, SBA, private and merchant cash advance lenders, and lists 22 product categories. It shows funding options from under $25,000 to more than $1 million (Trulli: Apply). Note the unit: Trulli counts lender programs, while Lendio counts lenders, so the two numbers are not directly comparable.

Cost and credit. The site says "Free to check. About 3 minutes. No obligation." On the page we checked, the answer to whether checking affects personal credit did not display, so we could not confirm Trulli's credit pull policy.

Disclosure. The site states that Trulli "is not a bank," does not guarantee approval or terms, and "may receive compensation from participating providers in connection with completed financing." It does not say whether compensation affects the order of matches.

Track record. Trulli does not publish a funded volume or number of businesses served on the pages we checked.

Embedded financing. White-label use is Trulli's main positioning. It does not publish partner pricing or revenue share terms on the pages we checked.

How the three compare on what matters

For business owners

The marketplace does not set your rate; the lender does. What the marketplace controls is which lenders see your file and how clearly the offers are explained. Ask any of the three which lenders received your application, whether the offer shows an APR, and when a hard credit pull happens. Lendio answers the credit question on its own page; the other two did not on the pages we could read.

The Federal Reserve's 2026 Report on Employer Firms found that only 42% of financing applicants received the full amount they sought, and that 60% of online lender borrowers said costs were higher than expected, compared with 37% at small banks and 32% at large banks (Federal Reserve Banks: 2026 Report on Employer Firms). Comparing at least two offers on total cost is the best protection, whichever marketplace you use. Our comparison of online lenders and banks explains the trade-offs.

For brokers, agencies and software companies

Lendio and Trulli both offer branded embedding; Fundera does not appear to. Lendio publishes more about its track record and its compensation effect on placement. Trulli's positioning is built more fully around white-label use but publishes less about volume. Neither publishes revenue share terms, so ask for them in writing, along with the list of lenders your clients' applications will reach and where each lender is licensed or registered. State rules on brokers and referral fees are tightening, as our guide on becoming a business loan broker explains, and our research on how lending marketplaces make money covers the fee models.

Our assessment on each criterion

  • Transparency about itself: Lendio is strongest, publishing scale, products, credit impact and a placement disclosure. Trulli and Fundera publish less on their own pages.
  • Disclosure of how it is paid: Lendio and Trulli both disclose lender compensation on their sites; only Lendio says it may affect placement. NerdWallet discloses its model in its SEC filings.
  • Network size: Not directly comparable. Lendio counts 75 to 100+ lenders, Trulli counts 500+ lender programs, and a third party counts seven Fundera partners.
  • Fit for partners who want to embed: Lendio and Trulli. We found no partner program for Fundera.
  • Track record: Lendio publishes one; Fundera's figures come only from a third party; Trulli publishes none.

Loanistry is owned by Trulli, which runs a lending platform for brokers, agencies and software companies: trulli.ai.
